Hello fellow beaders! A warm and friendly 2008 greeting from all of us here at Chevron Trading Post and Bead Company (including Millie the store dog and Rosie the store cat) in our 23 rd year of business. We have been very busy worker bees this year and have many new great exciting products to offer you here at our home/store.

In our front windows our beloved star lanterns greet you with warm and cheery colors as you enter our store. And as a matter of fact, we have been importing these stars and have over 125 different styles for you to choose from. Wow! If you can't make up your mind on which one you like, perhaps you would like one of each that we carry J !

In our classroom, we have added a bar with seating so you and your friends can come in and work on your projects. All that is missing is the lemonade and cookies - at that fact, bring some with you!

Children are always welcome in our store. Our store is like a wonder emporium for the kids - plenty of bright colorful goodies to look at and touch. We have set up a kid size table and chairs with coloring books and plenty of crayons to keep your youngster entertained while you shop.

You can be a pearl of a girl with all of our pearl choices. The selection in our case has never been so full. From traditional white to wild electric blue there are plenty of colors to entice you and match your pearly needs.

Have you always admired the old African trade beads, but never been able to invest in a whole strand? Well, we got out our scissors and cut over 100 different strands to offer the beads individually. These beads are so fascinating with their old age. If the beads could only talk and tell us where all they have been and who they belonged to. The trade beads are our store's first love and definitely hold a special place in our hearts.

Coin collectors pay attention. We have gotten some really neat old cash in our stock. We are having fun with old Afghan coins that have been turned into pendants, old large Chinese silver coins from the 1800's, World War II coins from India, and as always, see how creative you can get with the Chinese brass coins that have the square hole in the center of them. A challenge to any beader, but we think you can handle it.

Our 90 gallon salt water aquarium is getting along great! We have two new twin baby clown fish. We held a naming of the fish contest and are proud that their names are Pepita and Pepino. Come sit on our couch in our relaxing lounge and watch the fish swim in tranquility.

Having trouble matching colors for your next beading project? Let our seed bead mix boxes inspire you. With over 25 different colors, shapes and cuts of seed beads in each box they are a great starting point for any project. All you need are focal beads. Come in and check out all of our beautiful combinations of colors and see what you can come up with.

Viva la Czech Republic! This year alone we have added over 200 new styles of Czech glass. Everything from fire polish that looks like snake skin to teddy bear shaped beads, more flower caps in bright juicy colors to "fingernail" beads, and the list can go on and on. Come in to celebrate and see these great European beauties.

We are so high-tech! On our wall hanging is a digital picture frame flashing pictures of finished jewelry to inspire you. Oh yeah, it also shows a few cute pictures of our store dog Millie and our store cat Rosie to warm your heart and make you say "Awww!".

Yet another 600 pound shipment of glass and bone has arrived from India. We are stocked and full. This is a line that we have carried for over 20 years. The glass beads are everything from fun and whimsical like ladybug beads to classy and elegant like silver foil lined beads with matted finishes. Also a new bone bead and pendant collection has just arrived which will definitely give your jewelry or craft a more natural look.

For all of you bookworms out there, we have added another bookcase to hold all of our great crafting books. We have expanded to add books from yet another publishing company. More ideas for all of your beading fun!

Are large hole beads driving you crazy? We have just added a neat line of findings as posts, caps, hole fillers and spacers to solve all of your large hole problems. We offer these great pieces in gold plate and silver plate sure to match any of your beads.

Plumage is a hot new trend in jewelry making. Peacock, turkey, partridge...we've got it! Let our friendly staff show you the crimp findings that easily go on the end of the feathers. We have been making some interesting earring samples with the feathers with adding in chain, crystals, and even shiny beetle wings. Get wild, get crazy, get feathers for your next beading project!

We all know that Swarovski makes the very best crystal beads in the world. They have released new fancy colors and we have them...purple velvet, silver shade, golden shadow, sand opal, palace green opal...Come in to give your eyes a feast of color!

Want to give a gift to the person who has everything? Have you seen our pen, wine bottle stopper and letter openers? All you do is add large hole beads and spacers on the blank bar and voila a perfect gift is made! Beading has never been so easy or so classy! Next time you are in our store ask to see these items and we will show you what to do.

Are you new to beading and need some help picking out beads to make a project? Turn to our hand picked bead kits made with love here in our store by our talented staff. You think we are just a bead shop? Take a look around and notice all of our lovely gifts to decorate your home with. From our starlamps to candle holders to vases, we have got items that make excellent gifts and jazz up any house with lovely style. Our strings of flower lights are made from Bodhi leaves. Yes, real leaves that have been formed into a flower shape around a string of tiny lights. We have colorful ceramic tea light holders that you will want to put in every room of your house. For the more eccentric, try a slender hand statue that holds a candle and adds grace and style for your lit up occasion. Ceramic lotus flower tea light holders come in an array of sophisticated colors. We also have ceramic vases for flowers or just decorating purposes. Wow! We've got style!

Beauty is in the eye of the "beeholder". That is why we are proud to carry Burt's Bees products. As a matter of fact we have one of the largest collections of their products to choose from in town. Why would a bead shop sell beauty products you ask? Well, all the beadgirls and beadboy have to wash our hair and scrub our face before coming to work and we love this stuff! Does working with beads make your hands dry? Try their lotions. They are great.

It doesn't stop here folks! Chevron is always traveling the world near and far to hand select fabulous beads and gifts just for you. We do not bring anything in to the store without giving it a lot of thought and putting our eyes and hands on the actual products to make sure that the quality is top notch and something that we are proud to offer and believe in. We go this extra mile for our beloved customers.

Also around Chevron we have made a few decorating changes with some paint, fabric and new furniture. It has been a very busy time for us, but we are having fun and hope you will come in to the store and have some fun with us. See you soon!
